Service · Brand-Message Interview

The video every other piece of content layers on top of.

A brand-message interview is a long-form video of you telling your own story: where it started, who you serve, and what makes you different. It starts with a 90-minute working session with no camera, then a shoot built on what we found. You get one foundation film plus short cuts for social.

Who this is for.

If you’ve ever tried to explain your business in one video and watched it come back wrong, this is for you. Most owners carry their story around in pieces. A piece lives in a sales call. A piece lives in a thank-you email. A piece lives in a story you tell at the kitchen table on a Sunday. Nobody has ever put those pieces into one video that sounds like you.

The interview is built around questions you already have answers to. You just haven’t said them out loud in a long time. What were you doing before this business? When did this work become yours? What do your customers say about you when they think you’re not listening? We don’t write you lines. We find the ones that were already in you.

What’s included.

  • A 90-minute working session before the shoot, no camera
  • An on-location shoot with multiple cameras, full audio and light
  • One 8 to 12 minute foundation film
  • 5 to 10 short cuts for social
  • Horizontal and vertical versions
  • Delivery in about one to two weeks

What it looks like in practice.

Before

The kitchen table

Ninety minutes, no camera. Your origin, your customer, your superpower, and what you wish people understood before they hire you. You leave with a list of topics and stories that’s yours to keep, even if you never film anything else.

Shoot day

Three to four hours

We light, we mic, we go. No memorizing, no teleprompter. You answer questions you’ve already thought through, in your own voice. Most people say the time disappeared.

Delivery

The foundation, then the pieces

The long-form film comes first, then the short cuts carved out of it. From then on, any time you need to say who you are, you already have the footage that says it.

Common questions about brand-message interviews.

What if I freeze on camera?

Most people worry about that. The working session is the fix. By the time the camera comes out, you’ve already said most of these answers out loud once. The freeze only fires when you don’t know what to say. We make sure you do.

Do I have to memorize anything?

No. We work from questions, not a script, and you answer in your own words. It feels closer to a podcast than a video shoot.

How is this different from hiring any videographer?

Most videographers skip this work. They show up, point a camera, and ask you to be natural. That’s why so much of that footage never gets used. Here the conversation is the default, every time, before the camera comes out.

What do I do with the foundation film?

Put it on your About page, your sales pages and your YouTube. The short cuts run as Reels, Shorts and TikTok. Everything you make after that builds on it, so you stop reinventing your message every time you hit record.

Can I update it later if my business changes?

Yes. Most owners refresh it every year or so as the business grows. The working session can be re-run on its own without a full reshoot.
